Gordon Anton

Author, retired public-sector executive, and lifelong traveler

Gordon Anton holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Arts in Public Administration and Political Science from the University of Calgary. He taught Political Science in Alberta for six years in the 1970s, concurrently serving as Executive Director of the Liberal Party of Canada (Alberta) under the Trudeau government.

In 1988 he became CEO of E3 Community Services, a public health and developmental corporation in Collingwood, Ontario, a role he held for 28 years. During this time he led the creation of OASIS (Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special Needs), a provincial umbrella body representing nearly 200 agencies with combined public funding of almost $2 billion. He was the first recipient of the Annie Oliver Award for Excellence for his founding role in this effort.

Now retired, Mr. Anton is a keen traveler and writes across politics, philosophy, history, and everyday life. This site collects his published and in-progress work.
